A "Bird-ie" Christening Cake

A wonderful family from Liam's school celebrated their youngest son's Christening over the weekend.
They have a nature orientated name, so this cake theme did not come as any great surprise!
I LOVED the concept for this cake and although it is a little like choosing a favourite child (you simply cannot!!), I will freely admit, that this is one of my favourite Christening cakes!
The bottom tier is jaffa mud with dark chocolate ganache.
The top tier is lime/coconut cake with white chocolate ganache.
The kids cupcakes are very vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.
Everything is hand moulded and completely edible.

Looking down over the "Bird" nest!

The Bird family - Dad, Mum, baby Lincoln, Harrison (with glasses to match) and Rowan.

I wanted the Christening wording to fit the theme and I think this weathered sign fit the bill to a "T"!

The kids cupcakes ...... all made to match the colour theme as well as the design theme.
Toppers alternated between shimmery bluebirds and shimmery ivory crosses.

Happy Christening Day Lincoln.
May God always Bless you and your wonderful family!
xoxo
