It just so happened that this year, one of my best girlie's daughter's birthday party fell on the due date of bub #3. Could not take the risk of not being there and not being able to make her cake - so I did the next best thing - I made a dummy cake topper as well as cupcake toppers for the occasion!
I was given the invitation that was beautifully made by my friend's very talented sister as inspiration.
This was the outcome!
(it just so happened that I made it to the party and Noah arrived about 36 hours later!)

The cake topper.The spell book is handcarved and covered styrofoam. The little witch and all other decorations are completely edible and handmade from fondant.

There were 30 cupcake toppers to go with.There were "B" (for the birthday girl), little spell books, witches hats, broom sticks and stars
So it was actually a win-win situation all round! Brigette got to eat her cake (cupcakes) and keep it too!
