Jungle Themed 1st Birthday Cake

This is the first of 2 cakes for little Axel today.

Today Axel celebrates his Christening and his 1st birthday. The party is being themed jungle and so the 1st birthday cake matches that theme.

Axel's mum emailed me a copy of an invite and said that she wanted something in that style and would leave the rest to me!

Ta da!

The cake is a decadent chocolate mud cake with dark chocolate ganache.

All decorations are handmade and everything is completely edible!

I love the colour and whimsy of this cake.

Here are the 2d animals popping on the side of the cake. I made the heads more 3d so that it seems as if they are peeking out at the birthday celebrations!
