This 50s inspired cake is for a surprise 60th birthday for a loving mother, sister, wife and grandma.
The birthday girl attended another event the evening before that was a dress up 50s party and thus the carry over theme for the cake.
I am sure that she was warmly surprised to see her loved ones waiting for her at lunch at the stunning Oliveto restaurant, as well as seeing her cake.
The bottom is a rich chocolate mud cake and the top is a gluten-free caramel mud cake.
