Babushka Cupcake Tower

Today was a beautiful day to celebrate the Christening and also a 1st birthday celebration for the daughter of one of my best girlfriends.
Olivia's Christening cake was a continental mille feuille cake from the fantastic Papa Pattisseria in Haberfield.
However she asked me to make some decorations for that cake (sorry no pics)! I made a floral cross to match the invitations as well as some cascading blooms to adorn the cake.
For Olivia's 1st Birthday we decided on a cupcake tower.
I have always wanted to make a babushka cake, so the theme was decided for this and we coordinated the colour scheme with the invitations also.
The mama babushka is a carved and covered styro for the top - something she can keep.
The cupcakes are vanilla with white chocolate ganache and are all adorned with baby babushkas.
Everything is handmade and edible.
The celebration lunch was held at the gorgeous Via Leoni restaurant in Five Dock.

The beautiful bomboniere made and provided by Essenze Chocolates.
These chocolates have to be the BEST I have ever eaten!
Everyone was given a box of 6 different flavours - each better than the next!
To order beautiful chocolates for that special person, or yourself, treat yourself and go to Essenze!
Located in Caringbah and click here for their website.
Happy 1st Birthday Olivia.
Congratulations for your Baptism and May God always Bless You
