Tegan came to me as she wanted a special cake to celebrate her engagement. She wanted something simple and elegant, but also something delicious! So after a taste testing, the whole family decided on my vanilla sponge cake layered with vanilla bean buttercream.
Nothing speaks simple and elegant than a beautifully buttercream covered cake. I suggested an ombre effect to the buttercream using her choice of colours. She then choose to use fresh peonies to give that extra special finish.
I think if I had the change again - this woud be my engagement cake!
